Fished the evening before the stocking in Tarsan and took eight fish … four of them were around the 3/4 to 1lb mark, the fifth fish weighed in at 1lb 7oz (see photo), the other three were quite small. There are still big fish in there !

The next Tarsan competition is Saturday 24th June 2015, bank fishing only and weigh-in 6pm at the boathouse. New members will be made most welcome.

Conditions weren’t very kind to us on Saturday at the Lake, strong cold winds, very heavy showers, and very few fish. Twenty members turned up on the day, with only two weighing in, with a miserable four fish between them ! A couple of anglers caught smallish pike. Keith McKenzie won with 3 fish for 7lb 7oz (biggest fish 2lb 14oz) and John Pickett Sr 1 fish for 2lb 4oz. Well done guys ! A big thanks to David Lilley for organising the outing and arranging the dinner at the Beech Tree Inn at Dumgoyne.
There has been a few reports of sizeable seatrout getting caught in the Holy Loch, seems they are on the way in early this year. 😉
