Conditions weren’t very kind to us on Saturday at the Lake, strong cold winds, very heavy showers, and very few fish. Twenty members turned up on the day, with only two weighing in, with a miserable four fish between them ! A couple of anglers caught smallish pike. Keith McKenzie won with 3 fish for 7lb 7oz (biggest fish 2lb 14oz) and John Pickett Sr 1 fish for 2lb 4oz. Well done guys ! A big thanks to David Lilley for organising the outing and arranging the dinner at the Beech Tree Inn at Dumgoyne.
Yes, the weather was getting to the extreme, but I hope this has not deterred our first timers from coming on other outings with the Club.

Let’s hope not Bill, fishing is never easy, and Scotland’s weather is famously unpredictable, but I’m sure the first timers will be accustomed to the elements … Roll on Frandy !!
