Dear Members
I received a phone call from Paul Murdoch of Nith Valley Trout, our brown trout fish supplier informing me that the brown trout were due to come from Ireland on 18th April but this has been delayed until 28th April and the fish are a bit small (280 g). Paul has recommended that we do not take a stocking until the end of May when it is hoped that the fish will be around the 450 g (1 lb) mark. This means that the Lochan and the Tarsan will not be stocked until the end of May.

Thats the boats in the water at Loch Eck,Tight lines. 🎣
Despite the weather, the competition still went ahead, with five brave competitors turning up, unfortunately there was no fish weighed in. The next four competitions will be interesting as the competition is run over five saturdays with one saturday being dropped at final weigh in, and this one being that saturday.
Today Bob ,Chris (DDAC) ,Andrew (R.R.I.A) and David (AFT) planted around 100 mixed tree species along the upper part of the river to help with shadding and bank erosion.

Boats lanched today at Tarsan ready for the season starting.

Just to let everyone know the reservoir has just had a large stocking of lovley Rainbow Trout yesterday!
