The second day of the Tarsan Competition took place on May 5th. Lee Lindop was first with 7 fish for 3lb 1oz. Harry Lindop and Ron Ganley came second equal with 3 fish each for a total of 3lb 1oz.
On Saturday 12 May, Dunoon and District Angling Club had their first outing of the season to the Lake of Menteith. The weather was a bit bright for the fishing but 11 members had an enjoyable day. Davy Landsburgh, President of DDAC presented Andy Mallaney with a bottle of whisky for the Best Basket with 3 rainbow trout weighing a total of 8 lbs and also a half bottle of whisky to Ron Ganley who had the heaviest rainbow trout weighing 3 lb 10 oz.

DDAC member Steve Sorrell landed this hefty Rainbow Trout up at Dunoon Reservoir today, it weighed in at 9lb 12oz , just goes to show the quality of fish that are getting stocked just now …. well done Steve !
Tomorrow 5th May is the second day of the competition, starting at 12 noon, the weigh in is at the boathouse at 6pm . The forecasts quite good so why not come along !

Two boats have now had successful repairs carried out and are now back in the water, so now all four boats are at their moorings and ready for use … tight lines !
The work party for Loch Tarsan scheduled for Wednesday 18th April is cancelled till further notice.

Heaviest fish was Harry Lindop with a fish of 1lb
Only seven members came to the weigh -in
The total number of fish weighed in was 30 @ 23lbs 11oz
The first day of the Tarsan Competition is this Saturday 7th April from Noon until 6pm. Meet at the boathouse. Tight Lines everyone !
All boats are now ready for use in Loch Loskin, thanks to all the members who came along to help.
The Tarsan and Loskin have been stocked today (Monday) with brown trout so everything is ready for action.
Please note : There are still only two boats in Loch Tarsan until the necessary repairs have been carried out, tell John at the paint shop which boat you require, standard or short shaft.
