Graeme Henry had a good day on our Loch Loskin, he said,
“Fished Loskin early Sunday morning. It looked quite mysterious in the morning haar. Caught a lot of fish between the 4-8 oz mark. Had 3 fish for around 5lb 8oz. Caught them on a size 12 orange Montana and a size 12 viva cormorant.”

Allan Miller caught these 3 quality brownies on Loch Loskin yesterday, he thinks a cormorant had a pop at one of them.

Allan Miller took these photos of a frozen up Loch Loskin this morning, at -5°C was probably the coldest day of the year here so far ! ….. Thanks Allan nice photos.
Lee Lindop said “A good evening session at Loch Loskin managed some nice wild brown trout got a bit chilly at the end looks like a Muscovy duck has set up home at the boat house, not sure where he’s from !”

Duncan McGillvray very kindly sent this in ….
The boats will not be coming out of the water as planned for this Sunday. We will post the new date on here later … thanks

Sightings of Osprey have been observed on both Dunoon Reservoir and at Loch Loskin recently so keep your eyes open for this … just hope he/she has purchased a permit at the paint shop and filled in the returns 🙂
Simon Mullins braved the snow and wind on Saturday and took a boat out on Loch Loskin, he said conditions were difficult but managed to land this one before the end. It looks remarkably like a seatrout, maybe somebody will prove us wrong ? 😉

The boats are still not in at Tarsan as yet, Andy Lancaster was unable to put moorings out due to the low water level and the mud, also the loch has not been stocked yet for the same reason. Loch Loskin has had walkways at shed fixed with new timbers and has been stocked with quality brownies all ready for the 15th. We will post up news on the situation at Tarsan when we know the details. Thanks for your patience.
