When boats are being moored at Eck and Tarsan, they must be left on taught ropes, to make sure the boats do not collide. There has been several incidents of this happening. The other problem that can arise if left on a slack line is the farthest boat can sometimes be blown around the bouys, which leads the angler having to use another boat to go out and untangle the ropes.

The usual weather, no further comment.
Competitors covered all the usual areas and struck lucky, compared to the last outing.
Graeme Henry was catching 4 fish at a time, twice, and had 3 fish on three times.
The scores on the doors were:
Bill Rankin 5fish for 2lb 14.7ozs
Graeme Henry 5 fish for 3lb 5.2ozs
The final winner was Bill Rankin with an 11 fish total, and the biggest fish.
Graeme Henry with a total of 10 fish.

Another hot day with a breeze, the water level was down enough to ground two of the boats, but making access around the loch slightly easier. A large area of the loch had been covered on both sides by the anglers trying to find fish. To their dismay the fish were coming short.

08/07/26 Over 50’s competition,Tarsan. Sunshine slight breeze and very high water. The water was well up and it made bank fishing dangerous as there were very little bank available around the loch.

Two members turned up and enjoyed a very warm days fishing, again the fish were not giving themselves up easily.
Bill Rankin – 5 fish -2lb 9.5ozs.
Keith Mackenzie – 2 fish – 1lb 10.1ozs.

The competition went ahead despite the rain and the wind.
Two members turned up for the competition and worked hard for their fish.

Graeme Henry – 5 fish – 2lb 12.1ozs

As the water level is up in Tarsan the Moth Competition will be held on Friday the 12th June.
7pm till 11pm

The second saturday competition went ahead with 5 competitors.
The weather, well, a bit too much sun and not much water to fish.
Bill Rankin won the second saturday with one fish weighing 3/4lb.
Three more saturdays left to win this 5 saturday competition.
