Under the SSE health and safety laws, the very low levels found these past weeks was necessary. The water level at Tarsan will now start to fill up, as the maintenance work at the power station has been completed.

The next Tarsan competition is on the 9th May, 12 noon to 6pm.
All competitors are requested to sign in on the white board in the boat shed, also giving an indication of area being fished. Good Luck
The second saturday competition went ahead with 5 competitors.
The weather, well, a bit too much sun and not much water to fish.
Bill Rankin won the second saturday with one fish weighing 3/4lb.
Three more saturdays left to win this 5 saturday competition.

The reservoir has now been stocked with 200 – 2 lb rainbows.
Fish well and treat them well.
Five evening permits at £25 per book are now on sale at the Observer shop.
Fishing at the reservoir from May – Aug only, with a one fish kill followed by catch & release.
Fishing time is from 5pm – dusk
Despite the weather, the competition still went ahead, with five brave competitors turning up, unfortunately there was no fish weighed in. The next four competitions will be interesting as the competition is run over five saturdays with one saturday being dropped at final weigh in, and this one being that saturday.
The 4th P.J. Mackenzie Shield Competition will be held on Saturday the 10th August.
