Sea lice Monitoring Loch Riddon
A recent netting of the Ruel Estuary produced only a small number of sea trout for lice analysis. This work however remains important for the future of our river fishing. Please consider helping if you can. The next planned netting is on June 26th, meeting at Salt House Point @ 9.30 am

Hi I would like to offer assistance at your next netting… 26th Jun I’m not sure where Salt House is, and could you advise appropriate wear? Full waders etc?? TksAlistair

Thanks for getting in touch regarding the netting Alistair. Waders -thigh or chest would be helpful as well as a waterproof jacket. Salt House Point – from Dunoon take the B836 after Sandbank. At it’s junction with the A886, turn south towards Colintraive. After approximately 2 miles take the B886 coastal road on your RHS. Continue along this road for a few hundred yards to a grassy point in front of a large White House, where you can usually park. The netting takes place in the bay immediately on the other side of the point. Low water is at 9.30 am. If you require further info you can call me on 07814910795. Thanks Duncan.
