Visitor Owen Cook fished the reservoir at the weekend, and ended up a very happy angler, he said “the fish pictured was around the 6lb mark easily, great sport and great condition fish in Dunoon reservoir, caught 4 fish all safely returned that one being the biggest caught using a slow glass line with a orange blob two snatchers and a small lure on the point, I will definitely be back !” ….. your welcome anytime Owen 🙂
DDAC member Claude Lerevert caught this nice rainbow trout up at the reservoir recently, weight was around the 6lb mark, a cracker of a fish Claude!
John Easdale had an excellent day up at Dunoon Reservoir recently and caught this nice plump rainbow trout, he said “it hit my Kate McLaren like a train” John also emphasised he limits his catch to that which is necessary as his family love fresh trout !
Well done John and thanks for the photographs .. tight lines !
There was a good turn out today to help with the monthly stocking at Dunoon Reservoir, another load of quality fish put in the water with plenty over the 4 lbs mark. Thanks to all the lads who turned up to help.
Please remember you need a permit to fish here at all times, all our waters are patrolled regularly, poaching will not be tolerated, and persons doing so will be reported to police.

Sightings of Osprey have been observed on both Dunoon Reservoir and at Loch Loskin recently so keep your eyes open for this … just hope he/she has purchased a permit at the paint shop and filled in the returns 🙂
Residents are reporting on Facebook about an algal bloom on Dunoon Reservoir, it appears to be nothing more sinister than POLLEN ! …. So the water is safe to fish. Tight lines everyone 😉
