Further work was recently carried
out on the upper Ruel to try and
prevent bank erosion and improve
gravel beds .This helps to prevent
silting of spawning areas.
The work was carried out by Argyll
Fishries Trust with help from
volunteers
Funding was provided by
Salmon Scotland Wild Fisheries
fund, Cruach Mhor Windfarm fund
and South of Scotland Electricity.

This is the situation today, 21st July, looking from the Col Dam end with all boats high and dry, the geese seem to be enjoying it though. Also at Tarsan Dam end on-going works have been spotted ๐

We have received clarification regarding fishing rights on the short stretch on the East bank downstream from the Otter Ferry Road bridge.
This is not DDAC water and should not be fished by members.
We have everything upstream from this bridge on the West bank as far as the dry stone dyke 3/4 of a mile above shinty pitch bridge and the ministers pool on the East bank. … Thanks, Bob Clark (River Ruel Convener)
