




This is the situation today, 21st July, looking from the Col Dam end with all boats high and dry, the geese seem to be enjoying it though. Also at Tarsan Dam end on-going works have been spotted 👀




River Massan – River Eachaig fishings
The stretch of Massan water from the stone bridge to the cofluence of the River Eachaig is out of bounds to all anglers. by mutual agreement between DDAC and River Eachaig Syndicate.

We have received clarification regarding fishing rights on the short stretch on the East bank downstream from the Otter Ferry Road bridge.
This is not DDAC water and should not be fished by members.
We have everything upstream from this bridge on the West bank as far as the dry stone dyke 3/4 of a mile above shinty pitch bridge and the ministers pool on the East bank. … Thanks, Bob Clark (River Ruel Convener)
Loch Tarsan Update.
The closure remains in place but will be assessed this week. The over 50’s Competition that was due to take place on Wednesday, will now be rescheduled as soon as water levels make it safe to do so. Keep an eye on the website for updates.

River Ruel Catch.

Club member, Duncan MacGillivray had a lovely sea trout from the River Ruel on Saturday. The fish was returned safely and weighed an estimated 7.5 lbs. The fish took a size 8 Donegal Blue.

Temporary Closure of Loch Tarsan for fishing. 27.06.23
Due to very low water levels at Loch Tarsan, the exposure of potentially dangerous mud, silt and protruding rocks, the Executive Committee have taken the decision to close fishing on the Loch for now. The situation will be reviewed going forward and members should consult the website for updates on the situation.
