Photo taken this morning 19th July, water still exceptionally low at the loch, one boat high and dry at usual moorings, the other two are afloat “just” at the other mooring lines just a few yards down the bank. Those brave enough to bank fish please be careful as the mud is soft, and it is advisable not to fish alone !
DDAC member Alan Miller caught these two chunky rainbow trout from the Dunoon Reservoir this week … just goes to show the quality of fish we are stocking this season … get up there !

Due to the recent high temperatures the June stocking for the reservoir has not gone ahead, our suppliers are not keen to deliver fish to us in these conditions as the fish will be highly stressed and possible infections could occur. We will keep members updated on this situation. Thanks for your patience.
On Saturday 12 May, Dunoon and District Angling Club had their first outing of the season to the Lake of Menteith. The weather was a bit bright for the fishing but 11 members had an enjoyable day. Davy Landsburgh, President of DDAC presented Andy Mallaney with a bottle of whisky for the Best Basket with 3 rainbow trout weighing a total of 8 lbs and also a half bottle of whisky to Ron Ganley who had the heaviest rainbow trout weighing 3 lb 10 oz.

Two boats have now had successful repairs carried out and are now back in the water, so now all four boats are at their moorings and ready for use … tight lines !
The work party for Loch Tarsan scheduled for Wednesday 18th April is cancelled till further notice.
