The boats all came out the Tarsan today for the end of the brown trout season, a nice sunny day and a good attendance made life easier. One of the boats was in need of repair, so was taken to Tighnabruaich for the attention of the experts. Thanks to all who came along !
Loch Tarsan
There are numerous items of fly tackle (rods, reels, neoprene waders etc) been placed in the Tarsan boathouse. These have been very kindly given to the club by the Widow of the Late Richard Elliott. Members are invited to take whatever they require, all that is asked is that they hand in a donation to the club for items taken.
Thanks for your attention … DDAC committee

Disappointing turnout – only 5 competitors appeared at the weigh-in.
A hard evening with the trout being very hard to tempt initially,
but once the sun had gone down, then fishing improved –
unfortunately so did the midges!

“Another excellent way to learn more about your waters is to participate in river cleanups or work parties that aim to improve facilities. Besides making new friends you will be helping the club and benefiting from other members experiences. Ultimately though, to get the best from the Club waters, you will have to spend a lot of time not just fishing but walking and looking to find fish.”
